The Petreto Farm is located in Rosano, a small hamlet in the Municipality of Bagno a Ripoli, a few kilometers south-east from Florence, and extends along the Arno river valley over an area of about 30 hectares, 12 of which are planted with vineyards. It has been owned by the Fonseca family for over 150 years.
The continuous search for excellence in wine production has allowed the company to emerge in the panorama of Italian and international wine for the quality and uniqueness of its wines. Petreto stands out in the production of particular white wines from Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris grapes supplemented by Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling , but also does not forget the Tuscan tradition of red wines by cultivating Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Merlot for the production of Chianti Colli Fiorentini DOCG and IGT Toscana wine.
