Pedemontis "Djun" Nebbiolo d'Alba DOCG 2021 - 750 mL

A$75.00
  • Grape: Nebbiolo 100%

  • Ageing potential: 5 - 7 years

  • Pair with tasty fish dishes (like anchovies in green sauce or spicy fish soups), pasta with ragu, truffle dishes, roasted and grilled meats, cheeses. Serve at 16-18° C.

“The colour of garnet with bronze rims. Nice start. Good perfume that marries dark cherry, old pot pourri, rose hip tea, hazelnut, undergrowth and dried sage. The palate a set of similar flavours, just on medium weight, shimmies nicely on smooth texture up front with a late flourish of silt-meets-chalk tannin to finish with a touch of salted liquorice there too. A darker, earthier profile to the wine generally, maybe a touch of ripe-dry reddy character as a comment. Generally even, polished and harmonious. A very pleasing drink.” — Mike Bennie, The Wine Front, May 2025

Pedemontis is a family-run estate that spans an impressive 260 hectares of vineyards, forests, truffle fields, and hazelnut groves. Many of these areas were once marginal lands, rescued from neglect and patiently revitalized to support a vision of sustainable agriculture.

The estate's 13 hectares of mature vineyards, complemented by two younger plots under careful cultivation, are nestled in the hills of Roero and Langhe. These vineyards thrive alongside forests that contribute to oxygen production, embodying Pedemontis' commitment to a low carbon footprint and a harmonious relationship between nature, agriculture, and human life.
