A$155.00

Vinification: The maceration begin in big barrels of oak for 40  days. Finished the fermentation it gets aged in 20 or 30 hl barrels for 3 years and rest for 1 year in the bottles.

Tasting Notes:

Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot’s fruity notes gets accompanied with the elegant tannin of Cabernet Sauvignon, which confers to the wine the important structure and a smooth finish.

“The 2021 Prelit opends with a dusty bouquet that mixes dried black cherries, cedar shavings, rosemary and crushed ashen stones. It is loaded with tension as tart blackberry and wild blueberry tones ride a wave of brisk acidity, while fine-grained tannins amass toward the close. The palate is left saturated with primary concentration that puckers the cheeks as sweet tannins frame the experience and violet inner florals resonate throughout. The Prelit is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon that was matured for three years in large neutral barrels.” - Eric Guido, Vinous

Oslavia is the cradle of viticulture in the Collio, the most important wine area of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. The history of Fiegl starts from here, with the contract of purchase of the vineyard called “Meja” by Valentino Fiegl, dating back to 1782.

The goal of the winery has always been, since the beginning, to express and to describe our territory through our wine.
